Use cases include protection of sensitive column values and [GDPR] right to forget policies. The implementation will support capabilities of the [MySQL aes_encrypt] and [MySQL aes_decrypt] functions which encrypt and decrypt values using the [AES] (Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm.
